Hypertext markup language (HTML) is the standard markup language for the creating web pages and web application. With cascading style sheet (CSS) and java script it forms a triad of cornerstone technology for the world wide web.

When an HTML document is read by a suitable web browsers specifically designed by to understand HTML, codas, such as internet explorer or firefox the formatting codes are interpreted and the text is displayed in an attractive and more dynamic way. HTML document can include graphics and more important link to other document hypertext.
HTML document contains codes that work headings, paragraph, lists tables etc. HTML editors are useful, especially if you have a large number of document to write, but they are not essential to the creation of a HTML file-all you need is a simple text editor or a word processing package capable of writing ASCII text files.
However, as yours experience and your web sites grow you should consider using a website editor and management tool such as Microsoft a font page or Adobes dream weaver.
